Automatic PVC Dip Coating Line for Car Bumper Guard & Anti collision Beam

Automatic PVC Dip Coating Line for Car Bumper Guard & Anti collision Beam

Project Background

The customer produces frame-type anti-collision beams for trucks and off-road vehicles. Workpiece specs: 2592.7×1092×913.3 mm, 55-80 kg, requiring black and silver surface finishes. The original manual coating process had unstable coating quality, low throughput and high labor costs. For mass production of these large-size, medium-weight steel anti-collision beams, the customer ordered a fully-automatic dip PVC plastisol coating line to deliver consistent high-volume output.

Design Concept

Given the beam’s large size, 55-80 kg weight and special frame structure, the line uses hanging conveyance with one workpiece per trolley; fixtures and trolleys are engineered for the workpiece load. Dual material tanks support non-stop production. Natural-gas-fired ovens provide energy-efficient, stable temperature for pre-heating and curing. The process covers loading, pre-heating, dipping, curing and unloading. Equipment and fixtures are custom-sized to the workpiece profile and load, allowing quick switch between black and silver production. Supply scope includes manufacturing, transportation and on-  site installation, excluding overseas travel and accommodation costs.

Application Effect

  1. Automated production: Full-automatic dippingoperation is realized for 55-80 kg large-size anti-collision beams, eliminating uneven coating thickness caused by manual impregnation.
  2. Qualified production capacity: Stable output reaches 3-5 pieces per hour, satisfying mass-production targets of anti-collision beams.
  3. Process compatibility: Supports both black and silver coating production. Dual-tank configuration guarantees continuous line operation.
  4. Energy consumption optimization: Natural gas heating ensures stable temperature in pre-heating and curing zones and reduces operating energy consumption.
