Description

PECOAT® Fluoropolymer Powder Coating, available in ETFE, FEP, and PFA grades, is an industrial-grade solution for harsh environments. It excels in high-temperature tolerance (150–200℃+), corrosion resistance to acids/alkalis/solvents, and works with electrostatic spraying or fluidized bed dip. Ideal for chemical equipment, electroplating hangers, high-temp electronics.

Anti-Corrosion Treatment of Reactors, Storage Tanks,

Core Advantages – Engineered for Extreme Performance

  • Exceptional High-Temperature Tolerance: Designed for long-term service in medium to high-temperature environments, PECOAT® maintains structural and chemical stability between 150℃ and 200℃+, resisting deformation, decomposition, and peeling even under prolonged thermal stress. This makes it ideal for equipment operating in heat-intensive processes such as chemical reactions, electroplating, and industrial manufacturing.
  • Superior Corrosion & Chemical Resistance: The coating provides robust defense against a broad spectrum of corrosive agents, including strong acids (sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, chromic acid), alkalis, and harsh solvents like trichloroethylene. It forms an impenetrable barrier that prevents uniform corrosion, pitting, and stress corrosion cracking, safeguarding metal substrates from degradation in aggressive chemical environments.
  • Versatile Process Compatibility: Supporting two industry-standard application methods—electrostatic spraying and fluidized bed dip—PECOAT® adapts to diverse workpiece shapes, sizes, and production scales. Its fine powder texture ensures uniform adhesion, while the curing process creates a dense, continuous protective layer that adheres firmly to prepped surfaces, minimizing defects and maximizing durability.
  • Customizable & Reliable: Offering popular standard colors in white and black, PECOAT® also accepts custom color requests to meet specific industrial or branding needs. The coating boasts excellent insulation properties, adhesion, and wear resistance, making it suitable for both structural protection and functional enhancement of industrial components.

Key Applications – Protecting Critical Industrial Equipment

1. Chemical Processing Equipment

PECOAT® serves as a vital protective layer for core chemical equipment, including reactors, storage tanks, and pipelines. These components face constant exposure to corrosive raw materials, high temperatures, and pressure fluctuations—risks that lead to metal thinning, leakage, and costly downtime. The coating’s isolation mechanism blocks corrosive media from contacting substrates, ensuring stable operation and extending equipment service life, even in petrochemical and chemical manufacturing environments.

Thermoplastic Fluorocarbon (ETFE,FEP,PFA) Powder Coating

2. Electroplating Hangers & Jigs

Electroplating hangers and jigs endure extreme conditions: prolonged immersion in acidic or alkaline electroplating solutions, elevated temperatures (up to 60℃+), and mechanical stress from frequent loading/unloading. PECOAT® resists chemical erosion and thermal degradation, maintaining its protective performance without peeling or deformation. This reduces the need for frequent hanger replacement, cutting maintenance costs and ensuring consistent electroplating process efficiency.

3. High-Temperature Electronic Components

For electronic components operating in high-temperature environments, PECOAT® delivers dual protection: reliable insulation and thermal stability. The coating forms a high-quality insulating layer that prevents current leakage, resists electromagnetic interference, and ensures stable electrical performance. Its strong adhesion and wear resistance withstand mechanical stress from vibration or impact, making it an ideal choice for electronic components in industrial control systems and high-temperature machinery.

Application Methods & Technical Specifications

Application Processes

  • Electrostatic Spraying: The powder is electrostatically charged and applied to preheated metal workpieces, which are then cured in an industrial oven until fully melted and solidified, forming a smooth, durable coating.
  • Fluidized Bed Dip: Preheated workpieces (300-320℃) are immersed in a fluidized powder bed for 4-8 seconds. The powder melts on contact, and optional post-heating (290-300℃ for 5 minutes) enhances surface quality. Cooling is achieved via air or natural means.
  • Pre-Treatment: Substrates must be cleaned of oil and rust using chemical methods or sandblasting to ensure optimal adhesion.
