Description
PECOAT® Polyolefin PO rotolining powder is a modified “plastic alloy” synthesized with polyethylene, polypropylene and butadiene. Specially designed for rotolining anti‑corrosion lining on inner wall of steel pipelines and storage tanks. It combines merits of multiple olefin materials, with better mechanical performance than ordinary PE powder in hardness, tensile strength and low‑temperature flexibility.
Main Features
- Acid, Alkali & Salt Resistance: Good corrosion resistance for wastewater and brine systems; not suitable for strong oxidants or strong organic solvents.
- Wide Working Temperature: -40℃ to 100℃; flexible at low temperature and thermally stable with steel to reduce delamination.
- Low-temperature Impact Resistance: Resists vibration, water hammer and mechanical shock; suitable for cold-region outdoor pipelines.
- Strong Steel Adhesion: Firm bonding on blast-cleaned steel; stable under pressure and temperature cycling.
- Smooth Inner Surface: Low friction, less scaling, sediment and bio-fouling; helps reduce pumping cost.
- Higher Hardness & Tensile Strength: Better scratch and creep resistance than ordinary PE; suitable for high-pressure and high-velocity piping.
Application Industries
- Chemical Industry: Storage & transport of dilute acid, alkali, salt solutions, chemical intermediates, electroplating liquid.
- Environmental Protection & Wastewater: Flue‑gas desulfurization slurry tank, corrosive wastewater pipelines, anti‑scaling lining.
- Metallurgy & Mining: Ore‑pulp & pickling waste‑liquid conveying equipment lining, anti‑corrosion plus wear‑resistance.
- Food & Pharmaceutical & Pure Water: Food‑grade non‑toxic PO powder for drinking‑water & food‑liquid storage.
- Power, Semiconductor, Petroleum: Especially ideal for vacuum / negative‑pressure equipment: vacuum reactor, negative‑pressure absorption tower, less risk of collapse & peeling vs PE lining.
Application Process: Thermal Rotational Lining
- Workpiece Pre‑treatment: Remove welding slag, burr; sandblast inner surface to eliminate rust & oil contamination.
- Rotolining Processing: Heat workpiece to 240‑280℃, feed PO powder, seal ports, rotate workpiece in low speed for even melting & spreading.
- Cooling & Curing: Keep rotating during slow air cooling, forbid rapid cooling until ambient temperature.
- Trimming & Inspection: Trim lining at nozzles; carry out spark‑hole test and visual inspection for final acceptance.
